I studied agriculture in Japan, got a Master's in political science in Paris, worked with farmers and rural communities in Malaysia, and went into the business of media a couple of years ago. I can tell your friends that they're doing just fine, or assure your parents that you're not throwing your life away just because you want to do something unconventional.
