Gurmit Singh made his TV debut in 1994 hosting a live show called Live on 5. His 20 years career includes hosting for the President’s Star Charity, The Singapore Idol, the yearly Countdown on Channel 5, The National Day Parade, and many more variety and lifestyle shows.

In 2012, Gurmit was voted Top Ten trusted person in Singapore by voters of Readers’ Digest, in a list which included the Chief Justice, the Police Commissioner and other illustrious leaders. His role as Phua Chu Kang in the self-named sitcom Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd enabled him to win Best Comedy Actor Award a total of 5 times, at the prestigious Asian Television Awards. Phua Chu Kang is now immortalised in the Madam Tussauds Museum.

Gurmit has starred in several movies, one of which, Just Follow Law, won him a nomination for Best Actor Award at the acclaimed Golden Horse Award, Taiwan. Gurmit recently released his autobiography “What Was I Thinking” and is now no longer full-time with the TV station so he can spend more time with his family that has so gallantly supported his career of 20 years.

I just want to make you and your loved ones laugh and smile, even if it's just a simple video message.
