Here's what others have written about me:

Veteran actor Peter Yu started his career with the then Television Corporation of Singapore (now Mediacorp Singapore) and held the attention of Mandarin television viewers in the 1990s to 2000. He left the television and media scene due to private and family problems, but emerged again in the 2010s reprising acting roles but in more measured and mature performances.

In 2018, Silver Screen beckoned and he took on the role of an insomniac detective trying to solve a mysterious case of a missing migrant worker in the independent feature film ‘A Land Imagined’. The film went on to win more than 20 international film awards and immediately established Peter as a prominent and bold performer in artistic cinema.

Peter is also in Singapore’s first monster and crisis movie, ‘Circle Line’, where he plays the role of a dedicated supervisor intent on saving lives, whatever the costs. ‘Circle Line’ gives Peter the exposure to the mainstream cinema, working with action, stunts and visual effects. For an actor like Peter, acting in both differing genres demonstrates his versatility and flexibility in his craft.

Now in his fifties Peter looks back to his life experiences and troubled past as a resource for acting performances. This fuels his acting philosophy, where Peter talks a lot about having spiritual freedom, and a true love of acting being a purpose in life to love and help people.

WHAT WE THINK PETER CAN DO FOR YOU
Peter Yu is one of those actors we respect a lot on set, so you know how stoked we are to have the lead actor from the award-winning Singaporean film 'A Land Imagined' on Sendjoy! In his bio it says: "Now in his fifties Peter looks back to his life experiences and troubled past as a resource for acting performances. This fuels his acting philosophy, where Peter talks a lot about having spiritual freedom, and a true love of acting being a purpose in life to love and help people."
