Our story

I'm LC (right). Ser En (left) and I started Sendjoy in hopes of helping you reach out to a creator who can help to create a unique experience for your loved ones.

It all started during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was working in Singapore, while my family was back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Amidst the movement control orders, I had a hunch that I most likely wouldn’t make it back to Kuala Lumpur for Mother’s Day (Unfortunately, I was right). So I had an idea - What if I could get a TV star whom my mom likes to send her a personalised video message, assuring her I’m doing fine here, and she should also take care of herself over there? It would be a fun surprise; I’ll still call her up myself, and it’s a service I’d pay for.

We created Sendjoy to empower everyone to pour their hearts out to those they care about, including they themselves. Pandemic or not, we don't want you to procrastinate your feelings.

Before Sendjoy, Ser En was an award-winning filmmaker from Singapore while I spent my early-to-mid twenties working on community projects in Japan, France and Malaysia. We've enjoyed working with teams who treat their work, and those they work with, respectfully and generously. Through work, we've made friends, found mentors, guided others and learned to become confidently humble. Contact us if you want to join our team!
